A HELPING HAND FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN

Our mission is to help young, disadvantaged people in Norfolk and Suffolk to overcome life’s obstacles and realise their full potential. Everyone deserves a chance.

The Kerrison Trust has been putting young people first since it was founded over 150 years ago by the forward-thinking Lady Caroline Kerrison (click the link to read more about our history and who we are) who believed in helping those on the fringes of society.

Today our team of volunteers are proud to continue the Kerrison legacy; we lend a helping hand to those in need through funding projects that support youngsters living in Norfolk and Suffolk. These range from helping disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils overcome barriers to higher education to supporting charities who offer counselling, alternative education, or career skills for those with SEND or other needs.

SO, HOW CAN
WE HELP?

We award grants to both individuals and non-profit enterprises; for example, if a lack of equipment or training is holding you back from achieving your goals, and you’re aged 11 to 20, you may qualify for a grant. If you’re a non-profit organisation or community project that supports young people’s development, then we can provide funding to assist you in continuing the valuable work you do.

Our donations have benefited many causes in Norfolk and Suffolk, such as The Green Light Trust helping those facing educational or mental health challenges to build ‘health, hope and happiness through the power of nature’; and Open Road, dedicated to teaching practical life and work skills for a brighter future. You can find out more about the types of organisations we endorse here and see what our recipients have to say.

Young people deserve a chance to realise their full potential regardless of their circumstances – our aim is to open the door to new possibilities and opportunities that will make a positive difference and give them a brighter future.
